Akiko Miyakoshi Hobonichi Techo Pencil Boards Sunny Day / In the Air / Lazy Morning for Original, Cousin & Weeks
Poetic charm meets everyday journaling with these Hobonichi pencil boards, featuring artwork by picture book author Akiko Miyakoshi. Her evocative pieces capture light, shadow, and atmospheric textures across three distinct sizes, each cut to fit a different Hobonichi Techo planner.
The A6 Original size features "sunny day," inspired by a cozy window scene Miyakoshi glimpsed while traveling through England's Cotswolds. Its back is a warm yellow that echoes the sun's light and heat. The A5 Cousin size showcases "in the air," a piece born from Miyakoshi's own love of travel and her urge to dash off somewhere new. It's finished with a navy back that hints at the quiet of night. The Weeks size presents "lazy morning," inspired by a photo of French actor Charlotte Gainsbourg and Miyakoshi's wish to paint fresh morning light. Its pale blue back was designed to evoke the crisp morning air and the scent of clean sheets.
Beyond their artwork, these boards are built to improve your writing experience. Slide one under your current page and it keeps ballpoint pens from slipping while preventing indentation on the sheets beneath. Each board also doubles as a ruler, with a 1mm scale running along its long edge, and a "TODAY" tab at the corner that works as a bookmark, marking your current page at a glance.
A wonderfully practical piece of Japanese stationery art, made to make every page of your planner feel a little more special.
