BANK PAPER A5 Writing Pad

Order via Japan Rabbit

The Yamamoto Paper A5 Bank Paper Writing Pad brings a refined tactile experience straight from Japan to your desk. It contains 100 sheets of 66.3 g/m² paper, measures 148 by 210 millimeters, and is bound with a neat single-wrapper binding. Bank Paper was originally developed in 1960 by Mitsubishi Paper Mills for bank ledgers, combining a special blend of cotton and wood pulps to ensure durability, high opacity for two-sided writing, and smooth ink handling with various pens. Look closely at the sheets, and you will even spot the authentic THREE DIAMONDS watermark.

This brand new writing pad belongs to a special series created by Yamamoto Paper to preserve historic Japanese papers. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed many workplaces toward remote work and digital documents, hitting Japan's paper industry hard and forcing manufacturers to consolidate their offerings, phasing out many once-common but less profitable paper varieties. This series lets paper lovers experience these rare textures while they are still available, before they disappear for good. Each pad comes complete with a double-sided underlay featuring 12 mm lines on one side and a 6 mm grid on the other to guide your notes.
