DEEPLINER TERA Fishing Reel

Order via Japan Rabbit

DEEPLINER brings high-end Japanese engineering straight to offshore fishing enthusiasts with the TERA overhead reel. Known in Japan for advancing the art of slow-pitch jigging, DEEPLINER designed this reel to expand technical possibilities while keeping angler fatigue to a minimum. Weighing only 485 grams, it offers a remarkably lightweight feel in the hand and effortless cranking even under heavy loads.

The TERA operates on a 4.8:1 gear ratio with six ball bearings, delivering up to 10kg of drag power while retrieving 100cm of line per rotation. Its compact, ultra-narrow body features a blast-treated matte silver finish that stays non-slip even when wet. The lever drag system incorporates a cork washer and ditches traditional click notches, enabling stepless micro-adjustments that are easy to operate with the left hand.

For reliable fights against big catches, the 110mm slightly curved handle is fitted with a large T-shaped Duracon knob that's easy to grip and pull. The knob shaft intentionally omits a bearing, so there's no risk of rotation trouble from bearing failure down the line.

Maintenance and spool changes are exceptionally straightforward thanks to a minimalist internal layout with few parts; fewer parts means fewer things that can break. Official line capacity supports PE 2 at 1,100 meters, PE 2.5 at 800 meters, and PE 3 at 600 meters. Spare spools are sold separately.
