Ishimaru Bunkyodo Nagasaki Beautiful Scenery Vol. 12 Glass Fountain Pen Goto Camellia White Red

Order via Japan Rabbit

Nagasaki Bikei Vol. 12 Goto Camellia White Red Glass Fountain Pen captures the vivid blooms of Nagasaki's Goto camellias in a writing instrument as striking as the flower itself. Produced by Ishimaru Bunkyodo in collaboration with Ya-Ching Style, the pen brand of Taiwanese jewelry designer Lai, this piece takes its coloring from the brand's own "Goto Camellia White Red" ink: a deep crimson that softens into subtle grey tones when diluted with water.

The body is made of stabilized wood, a hybrid material created by infusing natural timber with resin under high pressure. The process locks in the wood's natural grain while making it more resistant to moisture, humidity, and warping, resulting in rich, varied coloring that echoes the ink's own depth and contrast.

This is a hybrid fountain pen with a glass nib, designed to write smoothly no matter which direction it's angled. That makes it especially comfortable for left-handed writers or anyone with an unconventional pen grip, since there's no "correct" side to the nib to worry about. It uses a converter (included) rather than cartridges, so it handles ink just like a standard fountain pen.

The pen measures 17mm in diameter and 150mm in length, and weighs 20 grams. It ships new, with no ink included, and belongs to a first production run limited to just 60 pieces, a small edition worth claiming before it's gone.
