JABEZ CLIFF Stirrup Leather Belt 28mm Width, 3 Colors

Order via Japan Rabbit

Wrap your waist in centuries of British saddlery tradition with the Jabez Cliff Stirrup Leather Belt. Crafted in England from a single piece of cow leather nearly 4mm thick, this classic 28mm belt glides smoothly through narrower trouser loops. Look closely and you'll spot the numbers one through five stamped beside each of the five adjustment holes, a charming nod to equestrian roots, where riders once numbered horse tack to balance stirrup heights.

Founded in 1793, Jabez Cliff earned a Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II in 1990, recognizing over two centuries of fine horse tack craftsmanship. This brand-new belt is made using traditional vegetable tanning, letting the hide's natural markings show through its subtle dye. Available in three colors and sizes 30 to 36, each belt's center hole marks the primary fit, with two inches of adjustment either way; a loose second keeper loop is included as an optional spare.

Protective wax applied during crafting may bloom white in colder weather, but a quick brush restores its deep luster, and its sturdiness for years to come.

Jabez Cliff STIRRUP LEATHER BELT, a classic belt from the British equestrian leather manufacturer founded in 1793. Made in England from a nearly 4 mm-thick single piece of vegetable-tanned stirrup leather, comparable to bridle leather.

The 28 mm width fits trousers with relatively narrow belt loops, including slacks. It has five belt holes spaced just over 1 inch apart. For example, size 32 measures 80.2 cm from the base of the pin to the center hole, allowing approximately ±2 inches of adjustment. Numbered 1 through 5 hole markings reference the original use of stirrup leather for adjusting left and right stirrup height.

The second belt loop is not fixed and may be used as an optional or spare loop.

Approximate measurements (size / overall length excluding buckle / pin base to center hole): 30 / 87 cm / 75 cm 32 / 92.5 cm / 80.3 cm 34 / 98.5 cm / 85.7 cm 36 / 102.5 cm / 90.3 cm

Protective wax applied to the leather may appear as a white bloom in low temperatures; this can be removed with a leather shoe brush. The traditional vegetable-tanned leather and distinctive dyeing process may show natural pre-existing marks.
