Japanese Silk Shibori Obiage Snowflake Pattern Green OA-6 Made in Japan

Kyoto artisans hand-dye each piece using sekka shibori, a traditional board-clamped tie-dye technique: folded fabric is clamped tightly between boards, then its folds and edges are dipped in dye. Once unfolded, the pattern that emerges resembles delicate snow crystals, which is how the technique got its name.
