Kimagure Orange Road Pilot 40th 2 Art Tile Ceramic Coaster

Order via Japan Rabbit

Relive the retro charm of Kimagure Orange Road with this ceramic art tile, one of three designs drawn from the Pilot 40th anniversary illustration collection. Small enough to rest in one hand, it works as a mini display piece for your room and as a functional coaster.

Fired in Japan from domestic clay in the traditional Mino-yaki style, this unglazed tile measures about 90 by 90 mm, is 5 mm thick, and weighs 80 grams. Its surface is dotted with tiny, invisible pores that absorb water quickly, so it's genuinely useful for serving cold drinks to guests. Prop it on a small easel and it doubles as a stylish bit of shelf or desk art.

Made purely of ceramic (no diatomaceous earth or asbestos), it should be hand-washed gently and kept out of the dishwasher. Liquids other than water may leave light stains on the absorbent surface, and because of the unglazed clay, faint pores or small surface marks can occur naturally. These are part of the material's character, not defects.
