Made-to-Order Pomegranate Vegetable-Tanned Leather Mini Pouch "granada-Ⅱ"

This mini pouch takes its shape from a pomegranate, and its name from the city where the maker fell in love with one. The granada-II mini pouch is the second design in this leather fruit series, a follow-up to the original "Granada" pouch the maker has been crafting since 2008. Its rounded, three-dimensional form was shaped with inspiration from traditional Japanese paper balloons, while the motif itself traces back to a backpacking trip through Andalusia, Spain, where pomegranate designs turned up everywhere: on street signs, crests, cobblestones, and lampposts in the city of Granada.

Crafted from vegetable-tanned Japanese oil leather, the pouch clips onto a bag or belt loop with an attached key hook, swinging softly as if you're carrying home freshly picked fruit. Each one is made to order, with a production time of about one week. The main body measures roughly 70mm in diameter and weighs about 40 grams. The color is a rich vermilion red, close to a deep salmon pink, that will deepen in tone and gain a soft sheen as the leather ages.

A leaf-shaped leather pull tops a premium YKK zipper, cut and assembled entirely by hand. Inside is a small compartment sized for the things you want within easy reach: eye drops, daily medicine, wireless earbuds, or individually wrapped candy.

Every piece is cut and sewn by hand from genuine cow leather, so subtle natural marks and texture variations mean no two pouches are exactly alike. It's a small, whimsical way to carry your essentials while showing off real Japanese leather craftsmanship.
