Marukyu Koyamaen Choan Uji Matcha Green Tea Powder 20g Can

Order via Japan Rabbit

Choan, a premium matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen, one of Uji's most decorated tea houses. This grade is prized for koicha (thick tea) but works beautifully for usucha (thin tea) too, offering a genuinely luxurious cup either way.

The tea is grown using the same shading method as gyokuro, which concentrates the sweetness in the young buds. Those buds are left unrubbed, and only the softest leaves are selected, then stone-milled the traditional way to produce a matcha with real depth and umami.

Marukyu Koyamaen's credentials speak for themselves: 21 first-place wins at Japan's National Tea Competition, 9 at the Kansai Regional Tea Competition, and 2 at the National Tea Tasting Competition.

Each tin holds 20g and comes with its own dedicated box, ready for gifting or for your own tea shelf. Best enjoyed within 7 months, kept refrigerated, and used up soon after opening for the fullest flavor.

Please note this is a secondhand listing; the tin is pre-owned, though unopened and sealed as sold.
