Monthly Gallery February 2004 Issue – Yayoi Kusama & Yasuo Tanaka Cover

Avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama and author Yasuo Tanaka share the cover of this February 2004 issue of Monthly Gallery, a Japanese print magazine devoted to the fine art scene, exhibitions, and the creators shaping it.

Kusama is one of Japan's most influential contemporary artists, globally recognized for her signature polka dots and immersive installations. Pairing her with novelist Yasuo Tanaka on a single cover makes this issue a notable crossover between Japan's art and literary worlds, a nice find for collectors of either figure.
