Moomin Hobonichi Pencil Board for A6, A5, and Weeks

Order via Japan Rabbit

Add smooth writing and whimsical storybook art to your daily routine with the Moomin pencil board series for the Hobonichi Techo. Sized specifically for the A6, A5, and Weeks planner books, these handy accessories sit under your page to stop ballpoint pens from slipping and prevent bumpy marks from appearing as you write. Each board includes a Today tab on the corner to mark your current date, along with ruler markings spaced at 1mm intervals along the back's long edge.

Created by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson in 1945, the Moomin stories follow gentle adventures in idyllic Moominvalley. The A6 board draws its art from the novel Finn Family Moomintroll: Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Sniff discover a mysterious hat on the front, and Moominpappa tries it on and admires himself in the mirror on the back.

The A5 version also comes from Finn Family Moomintroll, showing Moomintroll and friends playing in a magical jungle that has grown around the Moominhouse on the front, and Moominmamma waking to a room filled with tiny white flowers on the reverse.

Choose the Weeks size and your board features an illustration from Comet in Moominland: an extravagant grand ball crowded with tiny water spirits, bugs, and tree spirits on the front, with the characters dancing joyfully around the ballroom on the back.

Practical and full of storybook charm, these pencil boards bring a bit of Moominvalley into your everyday writing.
