Nokosu Dice (2023 Edition)

Order via Japan Rabbit

Nokosu Dice is a clever trick-taking board game where the very last die you keep decides your fate. Designed by Yusuke Matsumoto and published by Engames, it blends traditional card play with dice drafting: each round you draft dice, receive cards, and combine them into your hand. You spend several tricks playing those cards, but the real tension comes at the end. If the number showing on your one remaining die matches the exact number of tricks you have won, you claim a hefty bonus.

This 2023 edition brings seven major updates. The box is now noticeably larger (180 x 135 x 35mm) to hold poker-sized cards, and the player count has been expanded to accommodate up to five. New components make the game easier to play: a dedicated dice stand, player boards, a score pad, and a die set aside for declaring a zero-trick round.

The set includes 40 number cards, 5 reference cards, 27 dice, 5 player boards, 1 dice stand, 1 dice bag, 1 score pad booklet, and rulebooks in both Japanese and English. Nokosu Dice supports 3 to 5 players aged 10 and up, with a full game running about 45 to 60 minutes. This listing is for a brand-new copy.

Details

Nokosu Dice (2023 Edition) is a trick-taking game in which the die you leave until the end can decide the outcome. Players draft dice after receiving cards, then use both cards and dice as their hands during a series of tricks. At the end of each round, players can earn major bonus points if the value of their final remaining die matches the number of tricks they won. After a number of rounds equal to the number of players, the highest total score wins.

This 2023 edition features seven major rule and component updates, including a larger box, poker-sized cards, support for up to 5 players, and added dice stands, player boards, score sheets, and zero-trick declaration dice.
