Ohashido Tamamushi-Nuri Fountain Pen by Eiichi Uehara, Sailor Gold M Nib, Boxed, Sendai Craft
Hold a piece of Sendai craft history with this ebonite fountain pen from Ohashido. Handcrafted by master artisan Eiichi Uehara, the pen features traditional Tamamushi-nuri lacquerwork, a Sendai craft prized for its deep luster and rich color tones.
This pen comes equipped with a gold Medium nib made by Sailor, which writes smoothly as confirmed by a dip test. It is compatible with Sailor ink converters and includes its original box and documentation.
This is a pre-owned item from long-term storage, showing honest signs of wear. The box has stains, and the pen body displays some peeling paint. You will also find slight bubbling in the lacquer finish near the grip section. Even so, it remains a fascinating piece, valued both as a work of craft and as a fully functional writing instrument for enthusiasts of fine Japanese penmaking and traditional lacquer art.
