Soft Boa 1.0mm Fuki-no-to SSB127 Short Pile Plush Fabric 20cm
Meet Fukinotou, a bright pastel green soft boa fabric named for the color of fresh spring sprouts pushing through the last of winter's snow. This shop's soft boa fabrics typically run about 1.5mm in pile length, but this one is trimmed shorter, to 1.0mm, giving it an ultra-smooth, velvety texture that's perfect for bringing handmade characters to life. It's 100% polyester and measures approximately 150cm wide.
Soft pile knit fabrics like this one are widely used in Japan for shop displays, arcade crane game prizes, and official character plushies. This fabric has moderate stretch in the horizontal direction and resists fraying, so it works well for dolls of any size, from small to large.
It's sold in 20cm increments so you can order exactly what your pattern calls for; ordering a quantity of 2, for example, gets you a piece cut to 150cm by 40cm. Keep in mind that color and texture can vary slightly between production lots, so if you're planning a larger project, it's worth ordering enough in one go to avoid mismatched batches.
This fabric is imported from China and suitable for crafters making items for personal use or for sale. If you need to smooth out fold lines, iron on low to medium heat with a press cloth in between. Washing isn't recommended, but if necessary, hand wash gently. As with all our fabrics, it hasn't been tested to food safety standards, so please avoid using it for masks or toys intended for infants.
