This soft boa fabric in terracotta beige is the ideal skin fabric for crafting custom plushies, offering a smooth, high-quality finish. Most of the soft boa fabrics carried by this shop have a standard pile length of about 1.5 millimeters; this one is a shorter, smoother 1.0 millimeter type. The shorter pile makes detailed facial embroidery much easier to manage, and the silky texture is especially well suited to the skin sections of human-shaped plushies. It stretches moderately across the width and resists fraying, so it holds up well whether you are shaping a small plushie or a large one.
Making personalized character plushies is a major trend in Japanese craft culture, where fans and artists create custom plush toys based on original designs and favorite characters, as well as figures often seen in shops and crane games. Finding the exact skin shade is essential to bringing a character to life, and this warm terracotta beige tone (close to DIC 2304pc with the red tones pushed a bit stronger) is tailored for characters with reddish tanned skin. Made from 100 percent polyester and manufactured in China, this fabric measures approximately 150 centimeters wide and is sold in increments of 20 centimeters. Ordering a quantity of two, for example, gets you a continuous piece measuring 150 by 40 centimeters. Since color and texture can vary slightly between production lots, it is best to order enough for your whole project in one go rather than splitting the purchase across multiple orders. Please also note that production batches from June 2025 onward have a slightly stronger yellow tint than earlier runs.
For care, washing is best avoided altogether, but if needed, hand wash gently. Iron on low to medium heat with a press cloth to smooth out any fold creases. Due to safety standards, this material has not been tested under food hygiene regulations, so please avoid using it for masks, baby toys, or anything else that may come into contact with the mouth.

This soft knitted fabric has a smooth 1.0 mm pile, slightly shorter than standard 1.5 mm Soft Boa, with moderate crosswise stretch and resistance to fraying. Terracotta Beige is a reddish brown skin-tone color, similar to DIC-2304pc (C22 M30 Y46 K0) with stronger red tones. The closest Nui Tricot color is NL004 Almond, although Terracotta Beige is slightly redder. From the June 2025 production lot onward, the color is slightly more yellow than previous lots.

Imported fabric may have minor marks or pile irregularities, and color and texture may vary by production lot. Creases may be removed with a low- to medium-temperature iron. Hand wash gently if needed; use a pressing cloth when ironing. Not tested under food sanitation regulations, so do not use for masks, infant toys, or items that may contact the mouth.
