The Sunrise Trading GlanzAus Ren fountain pen captures the quiet beauty of a night sea. Its cap and cap top are finished in a matte black, blast-processed resin reminiscent of the midnight sky, paired with a ray-engraved barrel that glimmers like moonlight on gentle waves. Named after the Japanese word for small ocean ripples, this elegant writing instrument is designed to bring a soothing, comfortable feel to your daily writing.

The name GlanzAus combines German words to mean a refined masterpiece. This model is the third chapter in a line that began in 2006 for the 50th anniversary of Sunrise Trading, followed by the GlanzAus neo in 2008; the Ren arrives some 20 years after the original. Fitted with an 18K rhodium-plated nib featuring an original laser design, it offers a remarkably smooth experience on paper. You can choose from fine, medium fine, medium, and broad nib sizes to suit your handwriting style.

This brand-new pen also features acrylic-machined black resin at the cap stopper and tail stopper, while its metal fittings carry a Ni-Cr plating for lasting shine. It works with both cartridges and a converter (converter sold separately), and comes with two black ink cartridges so you can start writing right away. The GlanzAus Ren releases on March 11, 2026, priced at 74,800 yen (tax included).
