Maison Special brings high-end Japanese tailoring to everyday outerwear with the Super140s Prime-Over Melton Balmacaan Coat. Rendered in versatile black, this piece blends a relaxed, modern silhouette with classic craftsmanship. Maison Special is known for pairing oversized cuts with premium fabric sourced directly from Japan's top mills, and this coat is a clear example of that approach.
The wool is 100% Bishu-made, produced in the region long regarded as Japan's foremost center for wool weaving. It uses an original double-weave Super 140s melton, a fabric built from carefully selected high-grade fiber. A hard-press finish suppresses fuzzing, giving the coat exceptional warmth and cold resistance along with a smooth touch and a subtle, refined luster.
The coat comes in size 0 and carries a substantial, structured weight true to its melton construction. This item is secondhand with no noticeable scratches or stains. The previous owner bought it in mid-January and wore it about five to six times, roughly once a week, before putting it into storage.
