TADA Tinplate Astro Boy Race Car “Astro Boy-go” Mighty Eight 8 Showa Retro

A rare Tada Seisakusho tinplate race car puts Astro Boy right behind the wheel. Known as the Mighty Eight Number 8, this vintage metal toy captures classic Showa era design, with the iconic hero riding tall atop its sleek body.

Astro Boy, created by Osamu Tezuka, helped shape the world of modern anime and manga. During the mid-twentieth century, Japanese toy makers like Tada Seisakusho produced tinplate vehicles that have since become legendary among collectors worldwide; this piece carries that same craftsmanship and charm.

This is a pre-owned, vintage find, so expect the wear and character that come with age. Still, it stands as a rare piece of Japanese pop culture history, ready to anchor any serious toy collection.
