The Real McCoy’s B-6 Classic Tanning Made-to-Order Cow Leather Jacket Size 38 Excellent Condition

Order via Japan Rabbit

Wrap yourself in a piece of Japanese leathercraft history with this rare vintage Old Real McCoy's B-6 flight jacket. Released for the 1998 Fall/Winter season as a custom made-to-order item in extremely limited quantities, this piece represents the peak of the brand's early era. The Real McCoy's is celebrated worldwide for its obsessive commitment to reproducing classic American military wear, recreating historical garments with uncompromising attention to detail.

This jacket is built from premium South African Merino sheepskin, prized at the time as the finest available, finished with a red-brown polyacrylic lacquer coating and a clean design without decals. Additional details include hand-finished mustang hide leather parts, vegetable-tanned bends leather belt details, and reproduction TALON zippers. It originally retailed for 240,000 yen plus tax back in 1998.

Marked as a size 38, it runs slightly slim and best suits someone who typically wears a size 36 to 38. Measurements: body length 70.9 cm in front / 69.2 cm in back, shoulder width 49.5 cm, chest width 53.2 cm, waist width 49.9 cm, sleeve length 62.2 cm, and total sleeve span 88.2 cm.

Purchased at the Daikanyama flagship store in the winter of 1999, this jacket was worn just once and has been kept in storage since, with leather oil conditioning applied roughly every two years. The condition is close to unused, with only minor flaws: a small coating peel at the right cuff, slight rubbing on the leather part of the right cuff, light rubbing at the left pocket opening, and light rubbing on the leather part inside the right pocket. Beyond these small marks, there is no other soiling or damage from home storage. The original hang tags and the McCoy's novelty badge are both included.

Please keep in mind this is a used item, worn once, and now 27 years old; shop with that in mind. A rare chance to own a piece from the golden years of Old Real McCoy's craftsmanship.
