THE STAGE OF LEGEND: Eikou no Kiseki, Hideki Saijo and More captures the full force of one of Japan's most beloved pop icons at his peak. Hideki Saijo defined an era of Japanese music, thrilling fans across Asia with his powerful vocals and electric stage presence, and this nine-disc DVD box set gathers his most legendary live performances in one collection.
Released in 2015 to mark Saijo's 60th birthday, the set answers a long-standing request from fans. Discs 1 through 7 reproduce the contents of the 2003 limited edition "THE STAGES OF LEGEND HIDEKI SAIJO," originally released on December 17, 2003, and long out of reach for those who missed it the first time.
The lineup spans some of his most iconic concerts: the 1983 Osaka Stadium finale "BIG GAME HIDEKI," the 1985 Budokan spectacular "'85 HIDEKI SPECIAL IN BUDOKAN, For 50 Songs," his 1986 overseas tour through Hong Kong and Singapore, the 1991 "FRONTIER ROAD" tour featuring a collaboration with Tetsuro Oda, the 1995 Shibuya Public Hall show "39 Thank You," a career-spanning highlights reel on Disc 6, and a bonus disc of nine video clips. Fans can relive hits like "Young Man (Y.M.C.A.)," "Boomerang Street," "Kizudarake no Laura," "Galandou," and "Night Game" performed live in front of roaring crowds.
Discs 8 and 9 make their DVD debut here. Disc 8 presents the 1975 Shochiku film "Blow Up Hideki" in full (about 86 minutes); note that while the content matches the DVD planned for release by Shochiku, this version does not include the special sleeve or portrait that accompanies that edition. Disc 9 features roughly 30 minutes from his 1980 Nippon Budokan concert, "HIDEKI MY LOVE Hideki Saijo IN BUDOKAN," released under license from JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment.

The Stage of Legend: Hideki Saijo and More is a 9-DVD box set released in 2015 to commemorate Hideki Saijo’s 60th birthday. Discs 8 and 9 are available on DVD for the first time.
