Sturdy, thick thread straight from the Showa era, the kind of craft supply built to last. It’s well suited for shibori tie-dye work or other heavy-duty textile projects, offering real strength backed by real history.
This unused deadstock set includes 1 shime x 10 bundles x 4, giving you a generous supply to work with. The material is 100% polyester. Most of the thread is black, though two of the shime have faded over time to a rich, dark navy.
Though it has never been used, this is genuine vintage stock, so expect a few slight scratches, stains, and some color fading consistent with its age. Even so, it remains a durable, practical choice for anyone seeking authentic Japanese craft materials.
Thick cotton thread from the Showa era. Includes 4 sets of 10 bundles each.
Black color; 2 sets have fading and appear dark navy. Suitable for shibori dyeing tie thread or other craft uses.
