Transformers Missing Link D-02 Soundwave Anime Type Figure
Soundwave, the Decepticons' intelligence strategist, steps into the spotlight with Transformers Missing Link D-02 Soundwave (Anime Type). The Missing Link series reimagines classic Generation 1 characters with modern engineering, bridging vintage toy design with the kind of smooth articulation collectors want today.
This release keeps Soundwave's original size and G1-style proportions, with zinc alloy used in select parts for authentic weight and feel. Completely redesigned joints let him hold poses the original figure never could, including a single-knee stance and his classic eject pose.
Soundwave transforms between robot mode and his signature stereo cassette form, and this anime-type version adds a third mode found nowhere else: Light Standard Mode, the streetlamp disguise he uses on his home planet of Cybertron to deceive his enemies, as seen in episode 1 of the anime "Road to Earth."
The set also includes a newly designed Condor Cassettron in Cybertron Mode (Anime Type), the character's first-ever figure in G1 format despite decades without a commercial release. Both Soundwave and Condor hide a "secret emblem" that reveals the Decepticon insignia when warmed with a fingertip.
Accessories include the electric launcher, vibration blaster gun, barrier case, headphones, command microphone, and cables, all based on the original Japanese release, with some colors updated from the separately sold D-01 Soundwave (headphones are for display only, not meant to be worn). Foil stickers are included for customizing details to your liking, along with newly drawn package art inspired by the era and a collector's card.
