Ume no Hana Dried Seaweed No. 2 Cans Set of 2

Order via Japan Rabbit

Elevate your dining experience with Yamamoto Noriten's "Ume no Hana" two-can nori set. This long-running gift assortment includes ten packs of roasted nori and ten packs of seasoned nori, each pack holding four eight-cut sheets, packaged in two classic presentation cans.

The Ume no Hana series has represented Yamamoto Noriten for over half a century. Its name, meaning plum blossom, recalls the early days of the shop, when the finest Edo-style nori was harvested in the cold winter months, the same season plum blossoms release their fragrance in the air.

Good nori comes from cold winter waters, and only the best of that winter harvest makes it into this line. At Yamamoto Noriten's Saga factory, close to the sea, skilled sorters judge each batch by taste and texture, grading it against the company's own strict standards; only nori that clears the top grade earns the Ume no Hana name. From there, expert craftsmen roast it slowly, judging temperature and timing by feel to draw out its full umami.

Open the pack and the aroma of freshly roasted nori spreads at once, still carrying that just-toasted freshness. The texture is crisp, the flavor rich with umami, and the scent of the sea lingers after each bite. It's best enjoyed plain, with nothing added, so that flavor can shine through on its own.

Made from quality Japanese-grown seaweed and brand new, this set brings an authentic taste of traditional Japanese craftsmanship straight to your table, and makes a fitting gift for anyone who deserves the very best.
