Wa Sonic Fugaku-kei Wave Over the Mountain Wooden Tatami Coaster

Sonic the Hedgehog dashes through a scene straight out of ukiyo-e in this "Wa Sonic" tatami coaster, part of a series that pairs Sega's speedy blue mascot with classic Japanese art. Here, Sonic races across a dramatic wave, echoing the Mount Fuji-themed woodblock prints that inspired the design.

Made from washi (Japanese paper) woven to resemble the texture of a tatami mat, the coaster brings a distinct Japanese aesthetic to any tabletop. It measures about 90mm by 90mm, just right for everyday use, and pairs nicely with the matching teacup released alongside it.

This official Sega item updates a design originally sold between 2017 and 2019, now brought back with a refreshed look. Brand new, it's recommended for ages six and up.
