Yonomori Sakura Original Fountain Pen Limited Edition

The PENTONOTE Yonomori Sakura fountain pen captures the quiet beauty of an evening cherry blossom scene in Fukushima. Built on the classic Sailor Profit Standard body, this limited edition model translates a night landscape into resin. The blue-purple barrel carries fine silver shimmer to represent the twilight sky over the town as its lights begin to flicker on. A pale pink grip section glimmers with subtle silver particles to recall petals lit up in the dark, softer and more fleeting than they appear by day. The pale purple cap wraps the design together, echoing the moment the whole tunnel seems to glow violet, as if the blossoms themselves were folding the scene into one color.

Writing with this piece feels personal, thanks to a medium 14K gold nib custom engraved with a cherry blossom motif. The body measures 135mm long (about 119mm with the cap removed), has a maximum diameter of 17mm, and weighs 17 grams. Crafted from PMMA resin, the pen supports both ink cartridges and converters. Each unit comes with a natural Sailor converter NL, though fountain pen ink is sold separately.

This pen was created to complement PENTONOTE's original Yonomori Sakura ink, both inspired by the cherry blossom tunnel in Yonomori, Fukushima. Twelve years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the once-evacuated area reopened, and its blossom tunnel filled again with visitors enjoying the bloom. This fountain pen keeps that color, and that memory, alive every time you open the cap to write.
