"A Floral Scene" Temari Bouquet Fabric Ornament

Order via Japan Rabbit

"A Floral Scene" brings the quiet beauty of a Japanese spring into your home. Handcrafted in Japan by creator Mami as part of the NONA Temari Class Temari Bouquet project, this one-of-a-kind fabric ornament captures cherry blossom petals drifting through the sky: joyful, yet tinged with longing. Wrapped in soft spring pinks, every thread reflects the thoughtful care of its maker.

Temari are traditional Japanese thread balls, prized for centuries as charming decorative ornaments that carry wishes of good fortune. This piece measures approximately 6.3 centimeters in diameter and is made from 100% cotton. Its core is formed from rice husks, so it's best kept away from moisture. Direct sunlight should also be avoided, as it can cause the colors to fade too quickly.

Each Temari Bouquet arrives neatly presented in a cylindrical box. Over the years, its subtle shades will gradually shift; enjoying the way the colors age is part of owning a piece of authentic Japanese folk craft.
