Collector Yui Blu-ray BOX (6-Disc Set) Amazon.co.jp Limited Edition [Blu-ray]

Order via Japan Rabbit

Step into the virtual realm with the Collector Yui Blu-ray BOX, featuring all 52 episodes of this late-nineties anime series, digitally remastered across six discs. The story follows Yui Kasuga, a girl who dislikes computers, who suddenly finds herself pulled into missions on the virtual network known as Comnet. Guided by a mysterious program called IR, she transforms into the heroine Collector Yui and sets out to recover eight scattered "Soft" fragments while facing down the villainous Dr. Groser and the strange virus outbreaks known as Buggles, threats that endanger both the net and the real world.

Combining magical-girl adventure with early cyber sci-fi, Collector Yui aired on NHK educational television from April 1999 to October 2000. The series was based on original concepts by Kia Asamiya, animated by Nippon Animation, and scored by Kenji Kawai. It remains a charming nostalgic capsule of turn-of-the-millennium Japanese animation.

This complete set runs 1,300 minutes in high-definition 1080i video with the original Linear PCM stereo audio. As an Amazon.co.jp exclusive release, it also comes with a limited bonus item (contents yet to be announced), making it a great find for retro anime collectors worldwide.
