Meet the conte Koshimasu, a cleverly named, cleverly designed oil pot that won the 2018 Good Design Award. Its name playfully blends "koshi" (to strain) with "masu" (a measuring cup), and that's exactly what it is: a compact stainless steel set with a container, a strainer net, and a lid, all working together to make oil straining effortless.
Thanks to a specially unrolled rim, the pot drains cleanly and pours from any angle without dripping, so there's no need for a traditional spout. It works equally well for right and left-handed users, and you can lift the lid and strainer together with your thumb to pour with just one hand.
Hygiene is built right into the design. Because the rim has no folded edge, residue has nowhere to hide, and the container, mesh strainer, and lid all come apart for easy washing.
