Kotobukiya Hexa Gear Steel Rain 1/24 Scale Plastic Model Kit 337 mm

Command the battlefield from above with the Kotobukiya Hexa Gear Steel Rain plastic model kit. This 1/24 scale kit measures approximately 13.3 inches (337 mm) in total length and captures the heavy aerial power of a 2.5 generation variable Hexa Gear.

Steel Rain is a rotor type unit built for ground attack, armed with two 20mm Gatling guns alongside a wide range of missiles and rockets. Its firepower and aerial mobility gave it a decisive edge over the vehicle and biped type Hexa Gears that dominated the battlefield. The main rotor produces dozens of times more power than other second generation units, allowing Steel Rain to carry heavy loads and support ground forces from above. That performance came at a cost: the aircraft was expensive to produce and demanding to maintain, so only a handful of forces ever fielded it before it faded from service.

The model converts between an attack helicopter "vehicle mode" and a "humanoid mode" through its system converter mechanism, letting you display it either way.

Features:

The sealed cockpit is compatible with a separately sold governor figure. Inside, the seat unit reclines and slides to fit whichever figure is seated. The cockpit itself is highly detailed, with movable control levers and foot pedals for an immersive boarding pose.

The rotary wing unit rotates freely and its blades fold for storage or display. Two interchangeable armor windscreens are included: a "Late Type" with a built-in head unit and an "Early Type" clear canopy.

The included 20mm Gatling guns can be disassembled and reconfigured as heavy weapon units, and they're compatible with the separately sold Weapon Unit 30 Belt Link for extra ammo capacity. The air-to-ground missiles can be removed one at a time from their pylons, which also unfold to display the missiles in parallel. The rocket launchers use the Hexa Gear connection system, so they can be freely disassembled, expanded, and combined with other attachments.

Steel Rain is also compatible with the Flying Base Neo (sold separately) for dynamic aerial display.
