Soft Japanese craftsmanship meets everyday durability in this flame retardant ivory Lamous microfiber suede fabric, made in Japan by Asahi Kasei. The premium material offers a gentle, plush touch paired with practical durability, and it resists scratches, making it a great choice for busy households with children or pets. Its versatile ivory shade brings a warm, clean look to any project.
This high performance fabric measures about 140 cm in width, with a thickness of around 0.8 mm. Made from 88 percent polyester and 12 percent water based polyurethane, it incorporates over 50 percent chemically recycled fibers. It holds Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification, meaning it is safe even for products aimed at infants up to three years old. The suede has a light stretch across its width and diagonal, making it easy to shape when reupholstering chairs, lining car interiors, or crafting bags and garments.
Because it is flame retardant, it is equally suited to commercial spaces and automotive customization. As a soft, brushed suede, it may show slight wrinkles, and its color can appear to shift depending on the nap direction and viewing angle; part of its natural, plush character.
Care is simple: machine wash on a delicate cycle up to 40 degrees Celsius, avoid bleach and tumble drying, and iron on low heat with a pressing cloth if needed. Orders are cut in continuous one meter lengths from the fixed width and shipped rolled safely around a paper tube. Please note that custom-cut orders cannot be exchanged or returned.
