Lifelong Companion Glass ROCK Tumbler Ice Crack Set of 2

Order via Japan Rabbit

Catch the light at your home bar with the Ice Crack rock tumbler set. Crafted from high-transparency crystal glass, these two glasses feature an intricate web of internal fractures spreading across a softly flared silhouette. The dramatic pattern mimics delicate ice, reflecting spirits and cocktails with brilliant clarity.

These pieces belong to the Lifetime Glass series, shaped by GK Industrial Design and hand-blown by Fukagawa Glass Crafts in Otaru, Hokkaido. To create the crackle effect, artisans plunge freshly blown, still-glowing glass into water, judging the exact moment and temperature at which the fine cracks will spread toward the rim. The glass is then reheated in a kiln, drawing the cracks closer together to complete the dense, glittering pattern that gives the series its name. Because every glass is shaped by hand, subtle air bubbles, faint surface contours, or tiny specks may appear within the crystal: proof of authentic Japanese craftsmanship rather than a flaw.

Each tumbler measures roughly 104mm across the top and 90mm in height, weighing about 200g with a full capacity of 370ml. The set arrives in a natural cedar wooden presentation box (about 124 x 124 x 118mm) along with an instruction sheet and warranty card. Since the wood is a natural material, slight variations in color and grain, or the occasional small dent or mark, may be present.

These crystal pieces call for gentle hand washing with a soft sponge and mild detergent; twisting motions can cause breakage, so a handled sponge is recommended. Dry them thoroughly after washing to prevent water spots, and keep them away from dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, refrigerators, and any sudden shifts in temperature.

Details

Set of two Lifetime Glass ROCK Tumblers, Ice Crack series. Each crystal glass tumbler features a fine crackle pattern extending to the rim, created by immersing heated formed glass in water and reheating it in a shaping kiln. The curved form widens toward the drinking rim, highlighting the clarity and light refraction of crystal glass.
