Because the glass surface isn't affected by metal ions, it lets food age mellow without altering its flavor, making it ideal for rice storage, jam making, or preparing traditional fermented foods like nukazuke and umeboshi. The flat outer enamel lid allows easy stacking and doubles as a tray for serving pickles straight from the pot, while the flexible EVA resin inner lid creates a tighter seal to lock in freshness.
The Round Stocker comes in three sizes to match your needs. The 18cm size (about 4.5L) holds roughly 3.5kg of rice or 1 to 2kg of pickled plums. The 21cm size (about 7L) holds about 5kg of rice or 2 to 3kg of pickled plums. The 24cm size (about 10L) holds up to 8kg of rice or 4 to 5kg of pickled plums, making it perfect for larger households or bulk preserving.
The enamel body conducts heat efficiently, holding both warmth and coolness well, and is safe for use on direct flames, in the oven, and in the dishwasher. Please note that the lids are not dishwasher safe, and the container cannot be used on IH cooktops or in microwaves. Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent rust, and avoid metal scouring pads that could scratch the glass-like enamel surface.

The body and outer lid are enamel-coated steel; the inner lid is EVA resin and is not dishwasher-safe. The container body is dishwasher-safe and can be used over direct heat and in the oven. Not compatible with induction cooktops or microwave ovens. Dry thoroughly after use to help prevent rust. Individual variations, thin enamel at edges, black firing marks, and black recessed marks beneath the rolled rim may occur due to the handmade enameling and firing process.
