Deep indigo meets warm earth tones in the OD+JB 18oz. "Shinkai Sand Slub" Selvedge Jeans. Built in a classic Regular Straight silhouette, these heavyweight trousers pair a rich indigo warp with a distinct beige weft. Every pair is woven from 100% cotton sanforized Japanese selvedge denim, offering incredible texture and durability right out of the box.
This release marks the third entry in the Shinkai Slub series, breathing new life into the popular 2019 Sand Slub concept. Where the original ran a broken twill weave at 14oz., this update moves to a classic right-hand twill and bulks up to a full 18oz., bringing it in line with the brand's heavyweight releases. Created as an exclusive collaboration between Okayama Denim and Japan Blue Jeans, this special run is strictly limited to just 95 pairs.
The details reflect true Japanese craftsmanship throughout. The jeans feature a 27mm antique gold embossed top button, a proprietary "+" shaped OD silver rivet on the fifth pocket, and a 22mm metal button fly stamped with the "OD" logo. A new blue and red rayon tab nods to the Rising Sun flag and indigo blue that define the brand's identity.
On the interior, indigo-dyed pocket bags carry joint OD x Japan Blue Jeans artwork, while the exterior is anchored by a heavyweight natural cowhide patch from Tochigi Leather and a crisp red selvedge ID.
For reference, the model pictured wears a size 32 and stands 180cm (5'11") at 80kg (176 lbs).
