The Pilot FriXion Ball 3 Slim brings three essential ink colors together in one sleek body. Styled in a transparent non-color finish, this model houses black, red, and blue inks paired with an ultra-fine 0.38 mm tip for precise writing. The slender barrel measures 12.8 mm (0.5 inches) at its widest diameter, making it easy to slide into the pen holder of a notebook. It also features a sturdy lift clip designed to snap onto thick covers, tested to withstand up to 100,000 uses.
Pilot built its FriXion series around heat-sensitive ink that turns colorless when rubbed with the pen's built-in rubber eraser. The friction heat clears the ink without leaving any eraser shavings behind, so the paper stays clean and ready to write on again. Because there's no residue, you can write, erase, and rewrite on the exact same spot as many times as you like.
