The iconic farming tool from Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin steps out of the game and into the real world with this official collaboration sickle. Handcrafted in the famous Tsubame-Sanjo blacksmithing region of Niigata Prefecture, this made-to-order piece balances anime aesthetics with authentic craftsmanship. The blade is forged using the hagane-tsuchi technique, joining SK5 steel with an SS400 base metal, then sharpened by craftsmen who also finish fine kitchen knives to achieve remarkable cutting performance.
In Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, tending the soil is just as essential as fighting mythical beasts. This real-life sickle honors that spirit with a laser-engraved rice ear pattern along the blade, plus the series logo and an illustration of Sakunahime on the base metal. Rather than the usual magnolia or beech, the handle is crafted from dark, durable walnut, chosen to match the design of this signature piece; the natural grain means each handle has its own unique look.
Made by Asano Mokko and Kobayashi Seisakusho, the sickle measures approximately 41cm long and weighs roughly 260g. It's built for genuine agricultural work or home gardening, though it does call for basic care: wipe off moisture and dirt after each use to keep the iron blade rust-free.

Made in the Tsubame-Sanjo area of Niigata Prefecture by Asano Mokko and Kobayashi Seisakusho. The sharp blade is finished by a craftsman who sharpens agricultural, gardening, and kitchen knives.
