[Suji-Bori] Carbide Chisel LIGHT 0.3mm Scribing Tool

Order via Japan Rabbit

Carve crisp, clean panel lines on your scale models with this 0.3mm Light Carbide Chisel. It comes complete with a handle and cap, offering the natural control and familiar feel of a standard design knife. Although sold as a secondhand listing, this scribing tool is in brand new, unused condition.

Adding custom panel lines is one of the best ways to bring extra depth and realistic detail to plastic model kits, from Gunpla to scale military builds. Designed specifically for scribing models, this tool features a tungsten steel blade with a mirror finish tailored for clean groove work. Measuring approximately 145mm by 7.5mm, with a 0.3mm blade width and 3mm shank diameter, it creates neat concave grooves: just apply light pressure and pull repeatedly until you reach your desired depth.

Tungsten carbide offers excellent wear resistance, keeping the edge sharp over time, though it can chip if twisted or bent. Stick to smooth, straight pulls for the best results, and note that restoring the edge later will require diamond whetstones or diamond paste.
