Start Buying from JapanExperience the art of traditional woodworking with this classic wood plane, known in Japan as a kanna. These tools are prized by craftspeople worldwide for producing astonishingly smooth wood surfaces, and this pre-owned piece brings authentic toolmaking heritage straight to your workshop.
Unlike Western planes, kanna work on a pull stroke rather than a push, giving you remarkable control and stability with every pass. Drawing the blade through the timber allows for precise, micro-thin shavings that leave the wood with a natural sheen. As a used tool, it offers a genuine connection to hands-on craftsmanship for your next project.
