Yokouchi Seimen Koshu Hoto Noodle Set with Special Miso Soup Base

Order via Japan Rabbit

Warm up your kitchen with the hearty comfort of Yamanashi's classic houtou, in this authentic wide noodle set. Complete with a specially crafted miso broth, these chewy flat noodles offer a deeply satisfying texture and a comforting taste that warms you from the inside out.

Crafted by Yokouchi Seimen, a maker operating at the southern foot of Mount Yatsugatake since 1927, this local specialty relies on pure ingredients. The noodles are kneaded using carefully selected wheat flour and water drawn exclusively from the renowned Metori Spring in Hokuto City, one of Japan's celebrated "Top 100" waters. That single-source water, paired with the fine flour, gives the noodles their signature chewy texture and characteristic aroma.

Houtou is loved throughout Japan as a classic regional hot pot dish from Koshu (old Yamanashi), making this set a delicious piece of traditional culinary culture to enjoy at home.
