Delicious in Dungeon Senshi of Izganda Kitchen Knife DGM-001 Hitachi SLD Steel x Stainless Steel 170mm Black Finish

Order via Japan Rabbit

Senshi's iconic culinary tool from Delicious in Dungeon can now take a spot in your own kitchen. In the beloved fantasy series, preparing monster cuisine requires a serious blade, and this authentic chef knife faithfully recreates the dwarf's trusty tool. Crafted in Sanjo, Niigata, a region renowned for traditional blacksmithing, it blends anime artistry with generations of Japanese craftsmanship.

Forged by Tadafusa Knife Studio (a workshop founded in 1948 and honored with Japan's Good Design Award), the knife features a core of durable Hitachi SLD alloy steel clad in 13-chrome stainless steel. A dark black dye treatment gives the blade the exact tone seen in the anime's reference art, while a subtle textured finish keeps sliced ingredients from sticking. On the flat of the blade, you'll find an exclusive mark drawn by series creator Ryoko Kui, created specifically for this Tsubame-Sanjo collaboration.

The blade's shape is based on traditional thin-bladed knives used for delicate vegetable work like daikon peeling, but modified with a double bevel edge instead of the usual single bevel, making it just as capable with everyday meats as with vegetables. With proper care, including a sharpening every few months, it's the kind of knife that can serve a kitchen for over a decade; some owners even pass theirs down through generations.

The handle is crafted from Enju wood, a durable timber traditionally associated with good fortune in Japan, shaped into an oval to match the character's design. With a total length of approximately 310mm, a 170mm blade, and a weight of around 152g, it offers lightweight precision for daily cooking.

It arrives in a custom box featuring embossed paper designed to resemble red dragon scales, crafted locally in Sanjo to complete an exceptional collector's piece.

Please note that the blade is not completely rustproof and requires care.

The oval handle is made of durable Japanese pagoda tree wood, with natural variation in color and grain. The package features a Delicious in Dungeon-inspired design with embossed, Red Dragon-like scales.
