Kajidonya Tasting Spoon

The spoon head measures about 2.7 cm wide with a 2 ml capacity, just enough to catch a taste of broth without pulling out whole ingredients. It also works well as a spice spoon, small enough to scoop jam or seasoning from narrow jars. Flip it around, and the sturdy stainless steel tip becomes a pick for piercing potatoes or meat to test if they are cooked through, no risk of snapping mid-check.

The handle runs about 21 cm, roughly the length of chopsticks, keeping your hands away from the heat of deep pots. With a total length of about 23 cm and a weight of 30 grams, its long, straight shape also doubles as a stirrer for tall glasses or deep jars; the slight angle at the tip helps scoop up syrup that settles at the bottom.

Made of 18-8 stainless steel in Japan, this spoon is dishwasher safe (avoid microwave and oven use). Fine hairline marks from the manufacturing process are normal and not a defect.
