Pre-orders are now open for KOMASA RUM Aged, a Japanese craft rum with a deep amber color inspired by coastal sunsets. The aroma opens with sea breeze, apple compote, and sweet vanilla. On the palate, it recalls kanro caramel candy and fukuregashi, a traditional steamed brown sugar cake, before settling into a warm finish of oak, cinnamon, and a hint of smoke.
This release comes from Komasa Jojo, a distillery founded in 1883 along the East China Sea coast of Kagoshima. With over 140 years of shochu craftsmanship behind it, the distillery poured its distilling expertise into this craft rum label. It sits near Fukiagehama, Japan's longest stretch of sandy beach, known for breathtaking gradients of color as the sun sets over the sea; a scene echoed in the amber hue and lingering finish of every pour.
KOMASA RUM Aged is an amber-colored craft rum from Komasa Jyozo, a distillery founded in 1883 on Kagoshima Prefecture’s East China Sea coast.
