Kanosuke Single Malt 2026 LIMITED EDITION Whiskey

Order via Japan Rabbit

Capture the essence of coastal Japan with the Kanosuke Single Malt 2026 LIMITED EDITION. Scheduled to ship starting February 25, 2026, this 700ml release arrives at a powerful 57% ABV.

Its complex character comes from double cask finishing: bourbon cask whisky finished in apple brandy casks, blended with shochu-recharred cask whisky finished in white wine casks. The spirit shines in a gold amber hue, opening with delicate aromas of orange blossom, apple peel, white grape, and coastal beach vitex, the fragrant shrub that signals spring's arrival along the shore near the distillery. Sip to uncover rounded layers of vanilla, candied yuzu, honey, and apple brandy, followed by a lingering finish of grapefruit, apple peel, and a gentle spring sea breeze.

Kanosuke Distillery continues to redefine craft whisky from its home on the Kagoshima coastline. The spirit is distilled from a mix of non-peated and peated malt using proprietary distillery yeast, run through copper pot stills built by Miyake Seisakusho (a 6,000L wash still paired with 3,000L and 1,600L spirit stills), then matured across sherry, bourbon, white wine, apple brandy, and other casks. The packaging design echoes this coastal story, featuring the beach vitex that blooms on the sand in front of the distillery, rendered in elegant colors that mirror the whisky's light, aromatic character.

As Kagoshima's next-generation challenger on the world whisky stage, Kanosuke pours its craft and ambition into every release, and this 2026 limited edition is no exception.
