Meet the Nakamura original Shin Gotouchi Windy, Nara "Koto Asuka" Ver.2.1, a lighter that pairs playful art with local pride. Its title is a little pun: "Koto" means ancient capital, and "Asuka" nods to both the historic Asuka period and the sipping (suu) motion of enjoying shaved ice, fitting nicely with the miko shrine maiden illustrated on the front, caught mid-bite of a bowl of kakigori. The design is done in vivid inkjet print, while the reverse side is left smooth and plain.

Nara is often called the cradle of Japanese history, home to the Asuka period and Asuka Village, sometimes described as "the place where Japan began." The famous Ishibutai Kofun stone tomb sits here too, with some historians believing it once held the remains of Soga no Umako.
