Its form draws on the historical molds used when Western tableware first arrived in Japan, bridging heritage and everyday use.
The Ryo series is the result of a thoughtful collaboration among Japanese artisans. Designed by Osamu Saruyama and pressed by manufacturer Tasan Kinzoku, each spoon is then individually hand-finished by metalsmith Yuichi Takemata of KiKU in Ishikawa, Japan. Takemata works on every piece to create the elegant antique patina that gives the series its distinct, gentle texture. Because of this hand finishing, slight variations in color, shape, and size occur naturally, making each spoon one of a kind.
To preserve the delicate hand-applied finish, keep it out of the microwave, dishwasher, and oven.
