Seafloor Control presents the Gawky metal jig in an exclusive XD Midnight Aurora colorway, a special order created with the shop Amberjack. Known among slow pitch jigging enthusiasts as the "magician of the fall," the Gawky is engineered to entice picky predators in deep water.
This brand-new lure blends three distinct light properties into one strategic package. The base uses a soft aluminum hologram that mimics the subtle texture of real baitfish scales without unnatural glare. The front runs from deep purple into a UV-reactive fluorescent pink gradient, while the back carries high-intensity Special Glow dots. As the jig falls horizontally with its signature self-propelled vibration, the metallic shimmer, UV glow, and luminous dots rapidly trade places in the dark.
The jig's distinctive bottom shape extends its hang time, giving deep-water targets plenty of time to lock onto the flashing silhouette before striking. It's a strong choice for grouper, rockfish, and other bottom dwellers, as well as pelagic species and mid-deep water fish like rosy seabass and black rosy seabass.
