Carved from wild cherry wood and measuring 176 by 45 millimeters, this piece features a clean, honest design with gentle carved marks that showcase the human hand behind it.
A coat of natural urushi lacquer gives the spoon a quiet, soft sheen and an extraordinarily smooth feel against the lips. Because each piece is individually crafted, subtle variations in color, grain, and size make every spoon one of a kind.
To keep it in good shape, wash it gently with mild detergent and a soft sponge, avoiding hot water, and don't let it soak in water after use. Wipe it dry right away and let it finish drying in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. Store it out of direct sunlight, which can cause fading or discoloration, and away from places that are too humid or too dry, since either extreme can lead to cracking. Skip the microwave and dishwasher altogether.
