Discover Kumoi no Hana, a rare piece of Manaka Siam agarwood weighing just 0.33g. This particular piece is unusual for Manaka: it combines both high-density and low-density resinous areas, and because the wood solidified while still in its log-like form, most of its interior has survived intact rather than decaying with age.
Old texts on incense often claim that a scent which fades quickly signals the finest quality, an idea tied to the image of a delicate, fleeting woman that Manaka's fragrance evokes. But wood with dense resin, like this piece, doesn't necessarily fade fast at all. What lingers instead is Manaka's signature "thread of scent": a sweetness that even prized Kyara cannot produce, paired with a richer, more alluring feminine quality. Its provisional name, Kumoi no Hana, is drawn from a classical poem by Nijoin no Sanuki in the Shokugosen Wakashu collection.
The wood is cut into slender strips about 1mm thick, with short sides measuring roughly 3mm to 8mm. The grain runs perpendicular to the long edges, so the strips split easily by hand or with a knife along the grain.
It comes in traditional folded paper packaging measuring 192mm by 160mm by 23mm. Please note: this item cannot be cut into a single block, it is supplied only in strip form, and purchase is limited to one piece per customer.
