Cherry Wood Fish Long Tray 150mm × 240mm Atelier Tsumikiya Shinichi Miwa
A charming fish-shaped plate carved from natural cherry wood, made by hand with a rounded silhouette, a little curled tail, and a subtle smiling face that brings a cheerful mood to any meal. Visible carving marks give the surface a warm, tactile texture, and since each piece is cut from natural wood grain, no two plates look quite alike.
Measuring about 24.0 by 15.0 centimeters, with a height of 1.5 to 2.0 centimeters and a weight of around 168 grams, it's a lovely size for croissants and a small bowl of jam at breakfast, cheese and salami alongside a glass of wine in the evening, or donuts and muffins for an afternoon snack.
The plate comes from Shinichi Miwa, who founded Atelier Tsumikiya in 2007 to craft playful wooden goods for everyday life using natural wood. To care for it, wash gently by hand with dish soap and a soft sponge; it is not safe for the microwave, dishwasher, oven, or open flame. When you first start using it, stick to room-temperature or cool foods like bread and fruit to let it settle in, avoid leaving it soaking in water, and every so often refresh the wood's finish with a little walnut, perilla, or linseed oil.

Measures approximately 24.0 x 15.0 cm; height approximately 1.5 to 2.0 cm. Weight: approximately 168 g.
Not microwave-, dishwasher-, open-flame-, or oven-safe. Wash gently with dish soap and a soft sponge, and keep dry. The oil finish may be refreshed periodically with a drying oil such as walnut, perilla, or linseed oil.
As each piece is handmade from natural wood, grain, knots, color, shape, dimensions, and thickness vary. New pieces may transfer the scent of oil or lacquer to hot foods; begin with non-hot foods, and allow the piece to air for about two weeks before use if the scent is a concern.
