Scoop every last bit of fruit from your favorite jar with this handcrafted cherry wood jam spoon by Japanese woodworker Shinichi Miwa. Designed with a long, slender handle for tall jars and a flat tip that reaches right to the bottom, it makes morning toast feel a little more special. Each spoon shows subtle hand-carved marks and natural wood grain, creating a warm, organic feel that deepens in luster as you use it over the years.
Shinichi Miwa established Atelier Tsumikiya in 2007, creating furniture and everyday objects crafted from natural timber. His work focuses on bringing soft textures, comfort, and quiet playfulness into daily living spaces. Measuring around 22 centimeters long and weighing just seven grams, this lightweight utensil blends naturally with all styles of dinnerware.
Since every piece is carved individually from real wood, each spoon has its own unique color tone, grain pattern, and character. Gentle hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended to protect the natural oil finish, and a light coat of walnut or linseed oil from time to time will keep the cherry wood rich and nourished.
