This piece highlights the refined techniques of a contemporary Japanese glassmaker. Its maker, Taiga Oku, was born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1986. He graduated from the Faculty of Art at Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts in 2009, then joined Kurokabe Co., Ltd. in 2010 as chief of the Blow Studio. In 2022 he established his own independent studio in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture.
